PDD training: rolling out role-specific AML/CTF learning
20 May 2026 · 4 min read

Personnel Due Diligence (PDD) is more than a tick-box. Each role in the firm needs training that matches its AML/CTF responsibilities, and the certificate of completion is the evidence you'll attach to that person's PDD record.
AUSTRAC publishes the source material directly. Below is the relevant subset for an Australian legal or conveyancing practice — bookmark these links and assign them as part of onboarding and annual refreshers.
Where to get the training
AUSTRAC's education hub contains all current courses, videos, and guidance. Their eLearning portal lets staff complete modules and download a certificate that can be uploaded into the PDD form.

How to use it
- Assign role-specific modules to each staff member at onboarding.
- Store completion certificates against the person's PDD record.
- Re-run core modules annually, and after any material change to the firm's AML/CTF program.
